Staybridge Suites Bangkok Thonglor, an IHG Hotel

I have stayed in another Staybridge in Bangkok and really liked it. For this visit I chose this location. Both locations are hotspots in Sukhumvit. Firstly what made this stay really comfortable and extremely pleasant were the staff. We were on vacation and then the conflict started in the Middle East, with flights cancelled and airspace closed the staff Rainbow, Ruby and Zoklek were the stars! They showed great support, asked about the situation and always offered the best solutions for our situation. We ended up extending twice and they were very welcoming and warm. Honestly thank you for that during our stressful time. I would also like to thank the housekeepers Na (9th Floor) and Lee (29th floor) for their care too. I will definitely always come to Staybridge Thonglor. The 24/7 Coffee Club with great food and the groundfloor area with food and drinks creating a chill vibe are worthy to mention too. ———————— For Hotel Management below: I leave my review at the max because this hotel and its staff deserve it. However on the 26th I met the worst staff member I would have wrote her name but I was too shocked to look at it after her behavior. But I remember its was between 6:45pm -7:15pm on the 26th of Feb… I was wearing a navy blue short sleeve shirt and navy shorts and white shoes, she was wearing navy as well, long black hair, a bit chubby looks +30 in age and was alone behind the counter. I politely approached after hearing about the escalation surrounding my region she didnt show much attention when I approached and I asked if my same room is available for an extension and she bluntly said check the app you booked from…. Nevermind the rude behavior from a front desk employee, but could anyone confirm if you can you check your exact room’s availability on Expedia, in my case it was room #2903? I’m not a travel agent but that is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard… Regardless, I asked again and she repeated while doing other work “yes yes check the app you booked from and book”… I will write this review on other platforms too, copy-paste, while wishfully thinking that Staybridge would do something about it. Please do not explain that there was a misunderstanding, I repeated my request 3 times simplifying it to the max incase of a language barrier. If she really misunderstood she should have been attentive to the customer to fully understand, there is no excuse here. I gave the details so you could check the cameras who it was.

Staybridge Suites Bangkok Thonglor was a great place to stay. The Wi-Fi is strong and reliable throughout the hotel, and the co-working space is spacious, comfortable, and perfect for remote work — plus free coffee is a nice bonus. The rooms are bright and well-lit thanks to large windows, and everything felt clean and fresh. I appreciated that the air conditioning had no unpleasant smell. The shuttle service to Thonlor BTS station runs consistently and makes getting around very convenient. Breakfast could use improvement for the price — limited fruit and protein options, and the coffee tasted over-roasted. Overall, an excellent stay, especially for business travelers and remote workers.

I had initially only booked this hotel for one night. After arriving, and being greeted by in an incredibly friendly staff, I decided to extend 3 more nights. The amenities were wonderful, a few of my favorites being the in room laundry, relaxing onsen, and on site restaurant open 24 hours a day. After being there for only a few hours, Tubtim and Ruby made me feel at home, offering assistance and answers to my many questions. After a couple days I became familiar with Namwhan and Nicki who brought exceptional service as well. I would give this property a 10/10 and recommend it to anyone who wants a great value and fantastic location. I can’t wait to be back!
