SWU Nightmarket

At Srinakharinwirot University (SWU), there’s a night market every Friday and a morning market on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I visited the morning market once before and was really impressed. great produce, delicious food, and it stuck with me ever since. Out of all the markets I’ve visited in Bangkok, this one might be my favorite. 👍 The atmosphere is amazing, seriously. Under the early-evening blue sky, with wide open lawns and a campus full of students, the whole place felt bright, lively, and full of youthful energy. Such a refreshing scene. My top pick of the night: the sweet potato fried balls🍠 absolutely delicious. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, like a really well-made glutinous rice donut. Completely my liking. I’m still thinking about them today. 🤤 This Friday night market at SWU is definitely a place I’d love to come back to again. 🌙✨

Great spot to try authentic Thai food with lots of variety! The pop-up market has so many stalls offering everything from noodles and curries to seafood, snacks, and desserts. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the food tastes just like what locals eat. The vibe is lively but still relaxed, with a nice mix of tourists and locals. It’s open for both lunch and dinner, so easy to drop by anytime. Definitely worth a visit if you want to explore real Thai flavors in a fun setting!

Super chilled uni market with students all around. A very local experience and loved it! Tourists — keep your expectations low if you’re expecting a big market; this is definitely more local and student-friendly.
