The Inn Saladaeng

This is one of those "hidden gems" that you find sometimes. It's a lovely little hotel with super friendly staff, which is tucked away in a quiet location, despite being only metres from the craziness of the Silom/Patpong district. Be aware that it does not allow "visitors" (if that is your reason for going to Patpong).

Saladaeng Inn is conveniently located within walking distance to many of Silom’s main attractions and public transport options, including both the BTS and MRT stations. The area is vibrant, with plenty of street food and night markets just 10–15 minutes away on foot. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable, though it’s clear the hotel has aged. The air-conditioning was old and quite noisy, and I could still hear street noise from the 5th floor. The bathroom was spacious and clean, and the bed was adequate for a short stay. There’s a TV in the room, but the remote control had no batteries. A medium-sized fridge is provided, but there’s no in-room coffee or kettle. However, coffee and snacks are conveniently available near the ground-floor elevator. Staff at the reception were friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile. Overall: A basic, no-frills stay in a great location. Ideal for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize convenience over comfort.
