The Salil Hotel Riverside - Bangkok

The only downside to this hotel was initially inadequate provision for the arrival of our package party. We had to wait 6 hours from arrival at the hotel to being able to access our rooms. Following long flights from the UK, we were transferred to the hotel at around 9 am only to be told that we wouldn’t be able to access rooms until 3 pm. There was inadequate space in the lobby for the number of guests and only after heated discussion were we finally given rooms around 2.40 pm. There may have been a language issue, but there seemed to be a lack of understanding and empathy for our situation. This scenario happened again in Singapore, but the hotel staff there dealt with it differently by showing sympathy and providing free coffee until our rooms were available, much earlier than the normal check-in time. Having said that, the room we were given was excellent and our stay was extremely enjoyable. The staff were very helpful and polite and the facilities were second to none. Aom, in reception/concierge, gave us great advice on places to visit and things to do and booked us a guided tour of Bangkok. So, we had a great stay, after the initial glitch, and would highly recommend this hotel.

A comfortable, thoughtful hotel stay with great service We had a wonderful stay at The Sallil Hotel Riverside – Bangkok. The property is beautiful, stylish, and comfortable without feeling overwhelming or overly formal like some luxury hotels can be. It strikes a really nice balance between elegance and relaxation, which made it easy to settle in and enjoy our stay. One of the most memorable moments was how the hotel helped us celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. The staff arranged a surprise for him that he absolutely loved. It was thoughtful, well done, and made the celebration feel extra special. Small touches like that really stand out and show the level of care the team provides. Another major convenience is the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service to ICONSIAM, which runs several times throughout the day. This makes shopping and exploring incredibly easy. The shuttle drops you right near the train station as well, so you can easily continue traveling across the river to other parts of Bangkok without hassle. Pros • Beautiful, comfortable hotel that doesn’t feel overwhelming • Thoughtful and attentive staff • Great birthday celebration surprise arranged by the team • Convenient shuttle service to ICONSIAM and nearby transit One small personal preference The check-in process was a bit different from what I’m used to. Instead of checking in at a front desk, a staff member greets you, takes your information, and asks you to sit while they complete the process for you. Some guests may really enjoy this more relaxed approach, but I personally prefer handling check-in directly myself. That said, it’s purely a personal preference and not a negative about the hotel. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bangkok. Between the comfort, service, and thoughtful touches, it made for a great stay.

I had a really nice stay at The Salil Hotel Riverside Bangkok. The hotel has a chill, relaxing vibe and the riverside location makes it feel like a little escape from the busy city. The room was clean, stylish, and comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. Everything felt easy and well taken care of. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of food and tasted nice, but I found that some of hot food were a bit cold by the time I got them. It would be perfect if the food was kept warmer. Overall, I still enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful place to stay in Bangkok. Stay at 31 Jan 2026
