It's in a nice area. It's near a lot of local eats and shops in one direction. And in the other direction, you will enter the business district with a totally different vibe. The hostel itself leaves much to be desired, especially for the price they ask for the private rooms: 1. Sewage smell enters the room dailg from the shared toilets right outside the door. 2. The room itself isn't exactly soundproof so you can hear everything that happens in said toilets. The walls and ceiling of the room were mostly not made of concrete, I swear you could punch a hole in them. The furnishings like the tv console drawer and bedside shelves are all looking old and fragile. 3. There are many ants in the room, if you mind that. 4. The only staff that is responsive and friendly is the guy at reception. The other staff are not friendly at all and will ignore you. 5. They charge 10 baht for instant coffee, just go to one of the many quaint cafes on the main road. 6. The good things: There is a great smart TV in the room. The toilet was clean and spacious, great water heater. All in all, I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to anyone. I think there are other places in the area that are better situated and of better value.
