My favourite go-to dessert spot around Chula since my university days. Always yummy, reasonably priced, and never disappoints!

Such a lovely dessert spot ! We tried the fried mantou with Thai tea ice cream, foi thong and jelly, and it was absolutely delicious. The bun was served warm, crispy on the outside and soft inside, which paired perfectly with the cold and creamy ice cream. The different toppings added a wonderful mix of flavours and textures without making the dessert overly sweet. The café also has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere and beautiful wooden interiors. A perfect place to enjoy dessert after dinner on Banthat Thong Road. I would definitely come back to try more ice cream flavours!

The perfect quick stop for Thai Milk Tea! I was just passing by Tuay Tung and couldn’t resist popping in for a quick drink. Their Thai milk tea is absolutely phenomenal. It has that authentic, deep black tea flavor that is perfectly balanced—not overly sweet like many other places. It is incredibly smooth, creamy, and served ice-cold, making it the ultimate refreshing treat to grab on the go.Even though I didn't sit down for their famous fried buns this time, the staff served me incredibly fast, and the vintage atmosphere was just as charming as ever. If you are walking past a Tuay Tung location, do yourself a favor and grab a Thai milk tea to go!

Either I am completely oblivious to the rising inflation in Thailand, or the standard of the ice cream and sorbet at TT did not justify the 175 Baht price point that I paid. 😏 Or, TT is a conscionable health-buff establishment that doesn’t use sugar for the sweets it creates. 😂 To be fair, it was my first time at TT, and I had only tried 2 scoops of ice cream and sorbet amongst probably 10 - 12 other flavours available. I have not tried TT’s other dessert offerings. And, I had the ice cream and sorbet as takeaways, and not in the semi-busy restaurant itself. 1st Disappointing Scoop: Not having actually tried the Ma Yong Chid fruit (that looks like a baby mango), I decided on the sorbet version at TT. Tasteless and uninspiring. Most evident was the lack of sweetness. 😒 2nd Disappointing Scoop: I think it was called Peanut Candy. I liked this ice cream more, but it felt like eating frozen double cream straight from the supermarket shelf. 😅 Happy it was more flavourful, compared to the Ma Yong Chid sorbet. Still, it lacked sweetness. For a semi-busy restaurant patronised by teenagers and youngsters in their 20s, it took TT nearly 30mins to get the 2 scoops of ice cream and sorbet to me. 🤨 Apologies… pass… 😂
