  What a lovely surprise Uncle Loy’s was. I booked based on the reviews and the location and it was perfect. Gus and his mum were so lovely and looked after us so well. The room is small but spotlessly clean. It is located right beside the food markets and river. We took the river taxis up and down to locations everyday and it was so cheap and easy to get around. Dinner by the river at night with everything lit up is just beautiful. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Bangkok.

  I had a great 4 night stay in a place which I’d definitely go back to. In amongst the heart of the city, it’s tucked away, a little oasis of peace with trees and bushes growing . The rooms are clean and well presented, perfectly still and quiet at night. Gus and his mother make it feel so cosy and homely, they’re happy to stop and chat and were helpful to me with transportation questions In terms of location, I was hesitant at first because it was on the opposite side of the river. However, it’s a brief walk to a big ferry terminal so there’s inexpensive ferries to go to so many sites on the other bank.

  In the centre of Bangkok close to the river with easy access to the other side by ferry. The Breakfast is very good! We had a great stay and I’ll be back there next time too! I’ve already scheduled! The host is amazing, the first day we didn’t have Thai bahts with us for the ferry and he lent us the money so we could go! He was very nice! The Room was very clean and the bathroom very functional! Plus there is an amazing market very close to the hotel, wang lang market!!
