Bangkok Chaophraya Cruise

Such a lovely dinner cruise. First time we have done this and would do it again. Highly recommend. The cruise is very clean and the food was excellent. We had a lovely waiter who looked after us called Boy I believe. Really lovely personality and gave great hospitality. We booked our dinner cruise 2nd floor air con via Get your guide and the process was very easy. The cruise provided all you can eat buffet for 2 hours to see all views across Bangkok. Would do it again 🙂✨💕

I read a mixed reviews of the cruise but we certainly had a blast. It's a matter of setting expectations I think. The staff has been very helpful and attentive starting from the check-in until the last passenger disembarked. The food selection is ok. Given the late session of 8pm to 10pm, a limited feast with a bit discipline is fine in my mind Alcohol is completely optional IMO. However, it would certainly help lightening the mood and improve some guests dancing performance. Soft drinks and water are table served throughout the cruise. On the top deck, live music and traditional Thai dance are performed. The crew even joined in for the dance at the end. DJ was ok. Speaks are strategically installed so it's clear and loud. The live guide is a bit lacking but the skyline would keep everyone busy with their camera anyway. Because it's a round trip, I was able to capture some missed places on the way back. I certainly feel that most people onboard had a good time. At least we did.

We randomly decided to do a dinner cruise with the Bangkok Chaophraya Cruise line. They leave from and return to the same dock at Asiatique Pier. Super easy and smooth process of checking in, finding the line, and boarding the ship. The wait is a bit long but they do need to board a LOT of people so in retrospect, they were as quick as they could be to ensure everyone's safety and a timely departure. We really liked the top level of the boat because we got to experience the fresh air and breeze as we cruised down the river. Unfortunately, the water levels were too high for us to get over to Wat Arun but the team on board made it fun and we did not feel like we missed out on the experience. They have wonderful singers who know how to have a fun time, really nice waiters who are bopping along with the music, delicious food and plenty of options in the buffet, and a peaceful view of the temples and views alongside the river. Now for my standard comments. The boat is clean and well-kept. There are bathrooms on board as well if needed.
