What should I say, been here several times and the food is always a dream! There is some waiting time required but definitely worth the wait. We of course looooove the Hainan Chicken Rice!!! So juicy and tender!!! Absolute Perfection! I finally made it to Go Ang Pratunam Hainanese Chicken Rice 2, and wow! what a standout meal! This place truly lives up to its reputation as one of Bangkok's best spots for khao man gai. The rice was cooked perfectly fluffy, fragrant, glossy with just the right amount of chicken fat aroma, and not overly oily. It was honestly one of the best rice dishes I've had in a long time. 10 out of 10 for the rice alone! I went for the mixed option and chose two different chickens: the deep-fried version and the classic steamed/poached one. The fried chicken was nice and crispy on the outside with juicy, flavorful meat inside super satisfying crunch without being greasy. The other chicken was incredibly soft and moist, tender all the way through, with that silky texture that makes Hainanese chicken so addictive. What tied everything together was the sauce spot on balance of savory, garlicky, and slightly sweet-spicy notes that complemented the chicken and rice beautifully. Don't skip it; it's a game changer. And the clear soup that came with the dish? Simple, comforting, and full of rich chicken flavour it made the whole meal feel even more complete and satisfying. Portions were generous, the place was buzzing but service was quick, and the price felt very reasonable for the quality. If you're in Pratunam (or hunting for great chicken rice in Bangkok), this is a must-visit. Highly recommend going for the mixed chicken to get the best of both worlds! Will definitely be back next time with my family and friends when I'm in the area.
