I found this place by accident and kept coming back. Good food cooked fresh. Prices are very reasonable. Thai green curry, pad Thai, stir fried chicken with basil, all recommended.

I got WAY too addicted to this place on my visit. It became my go-to. So many great things to try, I just kept coming back to get something new. Super clean. Didn’t get sick at all. Just perfect, simple Thai food.

I recently visited Hai Som Tam Convent and was pleasantly surprised by how consistent everything tasted. This place is already quite popular, so I expected long lines and chaos, but it was actually well-organized and clean. The staff moved quickly, tables were cleared fast, and even though it was busy the atmosphere didn’t feel stressful. It felt like the kind of spot where both locals and visitors come because they already know the food won’t disappoint. What stood out the most for me was how evenly good all the dishes were. Normally, you go to a Thai restaurant and there are one or two signature items that carry everything else, but here almost every plate had its own character. The som tam was bright, savory, and spicy without being harsh, and the seafood was surprisingly fresh for a casual restaurant. The dipping sauces were balanced—especially the one that came with the blood cockles. That sauce alone could make someone come back; it had saltiness, acidity, and a slight kick without drowning out the flavor of the cockles. Overall, it’s the kind of place you can recommend without hesitation: busy but clean, flavorful but not gimmicky, and consistently enjoyable from start to finish. I’d happily return.
