Highway Car Rental – Absolutely Terrible Experience This is by far the worst car rental company I have ever dealt with. The customer service was shocking — rude, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. They were not flexible at all and showed zero interest in resolving issues properly. On top of that, they tried to charge us extra money for no valid reason, which felt like a straight-up scam. The whole experience was stressful and dishonest, and we felt like they were constantly trying to take advantage of us. Do not even think about using this company. Save yourself the trouble, stress, and potential loss of money. Stay away from Highway Car Rental — scammers.

The only reason why I chose this company, is because it’s within my neighborhood and I am all for supporting local businesses. The male attendants are helpful, the old ladies barely speak English with terrible language skills and an attitude to match. Though if you speak thai, I wouldn’t think you’ll have a problem. I got a 2013 Toyota Vios that has NO automatic locks, backing sensors or navigation. I had to buy my own bluetooth receiver to pair my phone to have music in the car. Very basic automatic 4 door sedan for 23,000B + 7% tax + 5,000 deposit for 1 month. Petrol is almost empty but that’s not a problem for me. The first car had a weird noise after a few days of driving, so I had it replaced with a similar model. I had no issues with the car at all, and there was no limit on how much mileage you will use the car for. I was able to drive the car to Huahin, Pattaya, and Ayuttaya. It’s been a wonderful drive. I didn’t enjoy the customer service here and I think for the car I got, it’s on the expensive side. However, the car was reliable and did its job pretty well. The rental has various selection of newer cars, vans, and SUVs. Btw, I was able to pay via QR code, but I don’t think they allow credit card. The car is inspected well, and I was able to get part of my deposit as they deducted 4 extra days out of my 5K. Overall, the experience was OK but I will definitely check another company for a better deal: a newer car of a more reasonable long-term price.
