Karim Roti Mataba is nearly 100 years old on this Sukhumvit stretch, serving roti and curries prepared to order with soups that are genuinely excellent. At budget pricing, the value is exceptional—you walk out satisfied for very little money. The soups alone are large enough for two people. The roti arrives fresh from the pan with properly layered texture.

The soup was delicious and enough for two people, and the salad as well. But the mutabbaq was a bit small. Overall, the food was excellent and the service was excellent. The weather was hot and the air conditioning wasn’t working. The fans were good, but not sufficient. Thank you!

💴🍛Pricey, but good. Some might say the dishes are too sweet but for me personally, they are good. *But someday the dishes are really too sweet. they have food, desserts, and drinks. It has indoor and outdoor area. There’s a park across the street from the food place. You can walk by the แม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา after you finish eating. Park your car by the street near the restaurant. Small and old restaurant, but full of stories Recommend restaurant for a sweet tooth 🦷🍛

It’s just ok. Wanted to try it as the aroma walking by is amazing, and it’s meant to be 100 years old. The roti are prepared to order - awesome. But the curries are prepared cafeteria style, sitting on a steam table all day. Also found the flavor to be far too sweet to my taste. The mussaman curry I ordered was a very small portion for the price - three small cubes of beef, two small slivers of potato, no peanuts - which is kinda standard for this dish. The small bowl it was served in was not even half full. If you must have halal food or you’re just looking for a snack - might be of interest to you. But SO much good food in the neighborhood, I’d prob give it a miss.

- The beef is not tender at all for both the beef soup and beef thai masaman - Very hard to breath and is very hot inside the restaurant as the air is not circulated well and their air conditioning isn't working - The portion is very small and is expensive - Beef thai masaman is very sweet - Beef soup is tasty.. sour and a little spicy. But the beef is not tender at all
