About

Specialty coffee roaster tucked into Talat Noi's old town lanes. The resident granny personally brews each cup with a choice of beans and brewing methods. The simple, welcoming interior makes it a natural pause point on any Riverside wander.

Located on the 2nd floor so you’ll need to climb a set of stairs, which might be challenging for seniors or those using wheelchairs/strollers. But the vibe feels like having coffee in your grandparents’ old house, with charming vintage Thai home decor. We paid 270 THB (~520 PHP) for 2 drinks. Both coffees were good, but honestly, it’s the cozy atmosphere that makes this place special.

Mother Roaster is a great café for coffee lovers. The atmosphere is warm, simple, and comfortable. The shop is well designed and feels very welcoming, making it a nice place to relax or spend time with friends. The coffee is high quality and well made. The taste is strong but smooth, with good balance and aroma. Both black coffee and milk coffee are delicious and easy to drink. You can feel the passion and care in every cup. The staff are friendly and helpful. They are happy to recommend drinks and provide good service. If you are looking for a café with great coffee and a relaxed vibe, Mother Roaster is definitely worth visiting. ☕️✨

Cute little coffee shop tucked away on one of the most interesting streets in Talat Noi. Even the walk going there is fun. Lots of wall art along the way, so it already feels like an experience before you even arrive. The café itself is on the second floor, and walking in is kind of cool because it’s styled like an abandoned warehouse. Very rustic, simple, and there are plenty of instagrammable spots if you’re into taking photos. Seating is decent and we were able to find a spot pretty quickly. Drinks are a bit on the pricey side, but that’s expected since the area caters mostly to tourists. We had the Deja Vu (espresso with milk and a latte ice cube), which was well balanced but not special. The Hidden Shadow (espresso with hojicha and milk) was interesting, but the hojicha didn’t taste very fresh and would probably be better with a bit of sweetener. Overall, a nice stop for photos and a break while exploring Talat Noi.
