MRT Wat Mangkon

Cafes in Chinatown, Bangkok

Cafes in Chinatown, Bangkok sit among shophouses, wholesale lanes and old river warehouses. Yaowarat and Charoen Krung are busy with markets by day and street food by night, and newer coffee shops have moved into the older buildings. Talat Noi, Tha Tian and the river side have their own small cluster.

Getting there: MRT Wat Mangkon serves Yaowarat, and Hua Lamphong station is close. For the river side, boats and the nearby BTS Saphan Taksin help.

At the time of writing (October 2026) the page lists Mother Roaster Talat Noi, Lhong Tou Cafe at Yaowarat and Make Me Mango Tha Tian. The first two carry the specialty coffee tag, and the third is a dessert-led listing near Tha Tian pier.

Before you choose: Plan around the street. Yaowarat Road is crowded in the evening, and a cafe a few lanes away is easier to reach on foot before the night stalls open.
