About

Specialty roaster tucked off Song Wat street in the old riverside quarter near Chinatown. The dirty latte — creamy, balanced, with espresso cutting cleanly through the milk — is a consistent draw. The surrounding street rewards a slow stroll before or after.

Happened to chance upon this roastery on Google Map, so decided to come here and give them a try since I am doing a quick detour at Song Wat. Tucked in a small alley, surprisingly this roastery was almost full house during the visit. I managed to get a small table that can accommodate 2 diners - but then moved to the counter seats that were empty as well. I ordered the Song Wat Latte which I presume their specialty and the custard egg tart which was supposedly available on Wednesdays and Fridays only. The Song Wat Latte was excellent in taste - one of the best lattes that I had even tried. I just cannot figure out what element was the latter art. The custard pudding was just mediocre as the custard egg was too soft to be lifted with a fork and knife. Indeed a good place to chill - touristy yet in a local setting. Definitely worth my visit, could be worthy of your time too!

The Song Wat street offers a nice stroll along a more local city style street. Venture off the main street and that’s where you’ll find the action and items such as shoes, watches etc that we use to associate the city with!! It is also home to a very groovy style cafe, where it’s all about good coffee and a few desserts!! It’s nice to see how the coffee culture has found its way into the older inner city streets away from the new shiny high rise buildings where it’s the same average coffee brand in every centre!! Enjoy and keep supporting the community of passionate coffee roasters in Bangkok

The dirty latte here is excellent-smooth, creamy, and beautifully balanced with a subtle hint of sweetness. The espresso cuts through the milk perfectly, creating a rich yet clean flavor profile without any harsh bitterness. The contrast between the cold milk and the coffee is well-executed, resulting in a silky, indulgent texture that’s easy to enjoy from start to finish. Consistently well-crafted and thoughtfully prepared, this is easily one of the best coffee spots in Bangkok. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality coffee done right.
