The average market rate from Online shop and even the Old Siam Plaza retail shops, is selling between ฿400-฿500 per metre for plain Thai silk, but this shop is asking for ฿1000 per metre for plain Thai silk. As a Thai silk collector myself for both lamphun Pa yok dok and Surin Pa yok tong hey're going to lose, they're going to lose me as their customers. By right I think they have no interest in dealing a real business of what you seen as a retail shop🤣. I live nearby, but so many times I've passed by, never seen a customer visiting their shop. What's happening to Thailand in the recent years? Many merchants are trying to earn their money without a fair market rate, especially when they knew you're a foreigner. ฿250 item sold online, merchant can ask me for ฿900. Better do more like this. Better frighten all the foreigners away. Then your country deserve to be short of income for the country. Thailand is no longer a country with honesty and kindness despite being a Buddhist country. People see foreigners as a moving ATM machine. I used to treat Thailand with a very sincere heart, initially thinking it's a country with kindness and simple, planning to retire here in the future and invest in the country to support this country. But getting to realize that I'm wrong after visiting Thailand many times. I'm not the only one, already saw many people from China and from the Westerners complaining about the dishonest incidents they encountered in Thailand on the website. If Thailand continues to be like that treating foreigners like ATM machines and alien creatures , in the future don't cry if the tourism decreases sharply. To be honest, the cultures and sightseeing locations will not be interesting to foreigners forever (other countries do have more interesting cultures and sceneries), but what really attract the sincere foreigners to visit this country is the attitude of the locals where people value honesty, sincere and kindness.Unfortunately, Thailand is losing these good qualities.
