It is a truly beautiful old style centre, unfortunately hit hard by covid with most shops closed although recently the hotel has become more buzzy. The Happy Fest restaurant at the Silom front is also approaching its anniversary since reopening after covid. Bangkok has very few old style hotels like this. It is worth a visit for this alone.

Negative Reviews
The food at the "restaurant" is not freshly served and the food had a very low quality, particularly the chicken (I ordered the stirred rice with chicken). That was definitely one of the worst "Thai" food that I ever had in my whole life. The restaurant itself is more like a mix of a restaurant and a sports bar with two screens hanging on the corner. The working ladies had been friendly, at least the only positive point I can add. That was definitely a lesson learned: never eat where tourists look like having had a couple of beer. Thanks!

Nice place mainly sea food stuff there. Beer is good price but food and juice is little bit pricy. We ordered these which is taps style not big plates with mango juice and Thai ice tea and the bill was 1000 baht. Shrimp was Good, octopus not that much and the oyster weren't that fresh. Juice was good. We didn't go there again although it was walking distance to us.

Experience in Bangkok city. Here restaurant for local people and visotors. Price good. Tasty. DO NOT Forget to wash the spoon and fork in the boiling water station. I didn't know about that :)) Local people were washed there spoon and fork before use it. Look for a stainless steel boiling water square shape pot... Or watch the local people.
