About
Street dessert stall in Chinatown known for ruby chestnut served in iced coconut milk — crunchy, refreshing, and just 40–50 baht. A go-to for traditional Thai sweets at prices that make it easy to order more than one.

From following Maibaru, she indicated that the ruby chestnut is her favorite dessert. I found it here, and it was delicious and refreshing. It is iced with coconut milk and the chestnuts were crunchy and chewy. Very different and only 30 bht. Highly recommend!

Sweet Time is a total gem in the heart of Bangkok’s Chinatown. I stopped by while wandering Yaowarat Road, asked the friendly staff for their top two recommendations, ordered both—and they blew me away. The first was the black sesame glutinous rice ball in hot ginger tea. The rice ball was perfectly chewy, and the toasted sesame filling melted into a sweet, spicy ginger broth that felt both comforting and intense. It’s the kind of dessert that wakes you up and calms you down at the same time. The second was a crunchy water chestnut and Thai noodle dessert in coconut milk, served cold. Creamy, refreshing, and full of fun textures—crispy chestnuts, soft noodles, and a lightly sweet coconut base that ties it all together. So simple, so satisfying. Incredible spot, amazing desserts, and great people running it. Can’t wait to come back.
