Anyone who plans to rent a car seat for a child — please check carefully before booking a car with this company. I rented a car from Thai Rent A Car from October 11–19, 2025, and also booked a child car seat. Before making the booking, I did some research and focused on car rental services that provided high-quality, clean, and safe car seats for children. I found a post from Thai Rent A Car on Instagram promoting their service with clean, safe, and ISOFIX-compatible car seats, which led me to choose this company. However, when I picked up the car at Suvarnabhumi Airport, the car seat I received was nothing like what was shown in the post. It was extremely dirty, with visible stains, dust, and dirt that flew off when shaken. Moreover, the seat could not be installed using ISOFIX, and had to be secured with a seat belt instead. The staff at the counter tried to help but couldn’t make it fit properly. They told me that this was the only car seat left, as all ISOFIX-compatible ones had already been given to other customers. I had made my booking since September 12, 2025 — one month in advance — so the company should have prepared everything properly for customers who book early, and especially ensured cleanliness and safety for children’s equipment. This trip involved long-distance travel, and I wanted my child to be safe and comfortable. But instead, there was no safe car seat available, and I had to hold my child on my lap the whole time, constantly worried about her safety. I was extremely disappointed with the company. I requested a refund, but have not received any compensation or refund so far. The staff only kept replying that they would “process it soon.” I have followed up three times already, and now it has been 17 days since the incident. I have already returned to my country, but still haven’t received the refund. So, for anyone considering booking with Thai Rent A Car, please be cautious and think carefully before making your reservation.

We rented an SUV from Thai Rent A Car and picked it up at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. The process was simple—just register at the counter in the arrival hall, then head outside to collect the car. Everything was quick and efficient, so we were on the road in no time. The return was at their Phetchaburi Road branch, and this is where things got a bit tricky. A small but important tip—always note down every little detail during collection. In our case, the power tailgate button was already missing when we collected the car. When we returned it, the staff at Phetchaburi Road insisted it should be there and got a bit rude when we explained it wasn’t. Only after they checked with the airport team did they realize it was missing from the start, and the tone softened with an apology. Also, remember to top up the petrol to full before returning—fuel charges from the agency are much higher. Overall, the rental was convenient and the car drove well, but the return experience could’ve been handled with more professionalism.
