Getting there: BTS Thong Lo, or BTS Ekkamai for the gyms on the eastern side. Check the map pin, since the sois are long.

Before you choose: Ask about private lessons and group classes separately, because the two are priced and scheduled apart. A first-time student should ask what to wear, and whether the gym lends gloves. Because Thong Lo and Ekkamai are one stop apart, you can try two gyms in a single day. Plan the second visit for an evening when the first class has finished. Bring a towel and water for the first class.
