Restaurants in Phrom Phong, Bangkok
Restaurants in Phrom Phong, Bangkok serve a large Japanese community and many expatriate families around Emporium and EmQuartier. Ramen counters, grill houses and seafood restaurants sit on the sois either side of Sukhumvit Road.
Japanese signs are common on the sois, and many menus show Japanese as well as English and Thai.
Getting there: BTS Phrom Phong is the only station, and both malls connect to it by walkway.
At the time of writing (October 2026), listings include El Mercado @Phai Sing To, Hokkaido Restaurant Genshiyaki, BANKARA Ramen Sukhumvit 39, a ramen shop, and Savoey Seafood Company - Sukhumvit26, a seafood restaurant.
Before you choose: if you have allergies or eat halal or vegetarian, ask the restaurant directly, because a listing cannot guarantee it. Many small Japanese places seat only a few people, so a short wait is normal at lunch.
