This place is always our to-go place for celebrating life events. It sits inside Siam Paragon so it’s super easy to visit and offers great quality Japanese meal. If it was a rainy day, or after work celebration, or didn’t want to walk in a deep Bangkok’s alley to get great Japanese restaurant, Aoi always got you. Even visiting it many times, we’ve never ordered the same menus. This time we ordered Ankimo, lunch set of grilled Sanma with shoyu on rice and MAI lunch set. They were such a roller coaster of taste. We start off with bowl of creamy Ankimo. Not the best Ankimo in our life but definitely one of the high quality one. It served with ponzu and spicy grated radish. For the grilled Sanma, this dish surprised me. The smell was just like Unaju with Kabayaki sauce but here is Sanma where it can only be found during late summer and autumn. Then came the grand presentation of MAI set that start off with small glass of sweet liquor and followed by variety of small seafood dishes served. Good looking appetizers, fried dish, grilled dish and fresh sashimi. We were fall for it and will definitely consider ordering this set again for our next visit.

I must have walked past this place a hundred times without giving it a second thought. It always looked nice, but for some reason, I never felt the urge to go in. Then one day, on a whim, I decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad I did. The set menu was surprisingly thoughtful and balanced, with each dish tasting fresh and carefully prepared. The tea was fragrant and comforting, the kind that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. It instantly felt like a hidden gem I had overlooked for too long. Now, every time I find myself at Paragon, this is my go-to spot.

The dishes are quite fine. We have enjoyed the rolls, salmon, squids. Unfortunately restaurant POS Device is not integrated in the international system. So our credit card denied the payment. It was so bad to have more 10 minutes trials and then try to pay with another card. Atmosphere is okay. Japanese hospitality available.
