Mix Lo mai (Chinese glutinous rice) with moo gop (crispy roast pork), shallots, Thai basil, red chillies with an egg yolk, and you get one of the best pork rice bowl dishes I’ve eaten in Bangkok. This is the signature dish offered by Baan who are renowned for their progressive take on Thai comfort foods and dishes. And boy do they do it well. I will return with more people next time to try more from their innovative menu. Special mention to the owner/host who was so lovely and kind. Also liked the Beatles and John Lennon pics on the wall and price-wise, unbelievably good value for the quality of food served. Another wee dining gem has been uncovered in Ratchathewi. Two thumbs up!

Best thai meal we had in Bangkok! Crispy chicken with cashews was so tasty and crispy, and the pork was outstanding. Very authentic! They were very friendly too. Highly recommend.
