As a Turkish Man, I can easily say that Bawarchi is the best indian restaurant in Bangkok. And Ragon Josh always makes me the happiest Man in the world for a few hours 🙂

Great Asian Cuisine and typically North Indian & pakistani food. Despite all boom n rocks around, this restaurant has flavor of its own, staff is so polite and simple that even if you ask for a glass of warm water, then cold water, then again warm water or maybe slices of unlimited lemon. The three different chutneys pineapple, Emily and green. All are exceptional and are being served free to the customers. Just to touch the taste buds. This restaurant was located just opposite to our hotel where we were staying and that's why I have clicked one pic from the window of my hotel. One night at around 2:30 a.m. We wanted a ginger milk, chai tea or typical Indian tea, the chef obliges just without even a single sign on his face and prepared the deed then and there for us.

The restaurant had a modern and beautiful interior, making it suitable for hosting events. Yesterday, I went there for dinner with a friend. The music was contemporary and trendy. When we arrived, there weren't many occupied tables; we were the only customers at that time. However, the staff mentioned that more people typically come later in the evening, around 21:00. The food was average and not too spicy, catering to the taste of foreign customers since it's located on a street popular with tourists. The service was fast.

I finally decided to take the plunge and try this place after walking by it a 1000 times. I dined inside which was air cooled and the furnishings & decor were of a high level, so first impressions were very good. Menu is OK but not as varied as what we are used to in the UK (yes, we are spoiled for good Indian food there). Prices are on the high side both for BKK and comparatively speaking (again with UK). The small taster was welcome and very nice. The main event chicken Jalfreizi: the Jalfreizi sauce was excellent, however the cheap quality chicken really let it down. In my opinion it was cheap chicken leg or thigh meat and not breast as I would expect. It was chewy, had gristle and even a small bone that made me think I’d broken a tooth! Fortunately I hadn’t. When I shared my feedback with one of the waitresses she seemed indifferent. Would I try it again?? I would probably give them a second chance and try a lamb dish and hope for the best. The live Indian music was very good by the way.
