BENARES Modern Indian Cuisine Bangkok. (INDIAN RESTAURANT)

Visited on a Friday evening - it’s a 15 min walk from the Soi Cowboy area and is a more up market offering than the Indian Street kitchen next door. A bit difficult to find as no frontage onto street - to get to the entrance, walk through the car park barriers to the left of the other restaurant. We were surprised to be the only diners for the first hour, however the service food and wine was excellent. Much attention to detail , v good Margaret River red wine but star of the show was the food. Chicken tikka as good as any had anywhere , authentic chicken vindaloo and perfectly cooked Paneer. The restaurant of the same name in London is excellent and whilst not linked you might be forgiven for thinking it was. I hope more people discover this slightly hidden gem.

Being Greek, it is difficult to satisfy me with food. So I was happily surprised by the taste and quality of the dishes at benares. We opted for the menu and I would definitely recommend it. Thank you for having us.

Finding this restaurant might be a bit of a treasure hunt. Once inside, you're greeted by a beautifully decorated space. The food here is good, with a great selection of dishes. What truly elevates the experience, however, is the excellent service. The staff are attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to ensure you have a great time. My only small suggestion would be for them to add some background music. Despite that minor point, it's a fantastic spot for a delicious Indian meal.
