Billy’s Smokehouse

After reading reviews we opted to share a half rack of ribs between two of us. And that was more than enough. We would have liked to have tried their brisket, cornbread and other sides, but there's no way we could have eaten so much. If they ever add a sampling platter I'd definitely go back for a try. We were lucky to get a table so it's advisable to book one in advance if you're planning to visit.

A piece of Billy’s juicy, unctuous rib eye steak wrapped in a soft taco, and drizzled with their salsa, is one of the finest bites I’ve had this year. The rib eye was so good my carnivorous pal from Singapore & his carnivorous son ordered a second one. Yeah, that good. Also excellent were the fall off the bone ribs in a sweetish sauce, Billy’s burger, and the smoked wings. The salads were also fresh and dressings zinged in the right places. Billy’s is meat nirvana and a great mid city spot for the young, medium, and old. Service staff are on point and the diverse soundtrack added to the party atmosphere - the drinks list is also extensive and ok priced for the central city. We will be back when our favourite carnivore from Singapore returns.

Very excited to have this place as I love southern bbq. We went ahead and ordered some of their specialties. The pork ribs were absolutely delicious and tender and the half rack was more than enough for two people! The pulled pork sandwich unfortunately was a let down. It was very dry and because of that lacked that saucy delicious flavor I’m used to back home. Still I would come back whenever I’m craving bbq but would just stick to the ribs.
