About
Mexican street food in Sukhumvit with a food truck atmosphere that keeps things casual. The Jalapeño Margarita has a following for good reason — bold and spicy. Tacos and other Mexican staples are well-executed and popular with both locals and expats.

I discovered Cholos purely by chance through Google, and honestly—it turned out to be one of the best food decisions I’ve made in Bangkok! From the very first bite, everything was absolutely on point. The food is bursting with flavour, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with a lot of passion and attention to detail. Each dish felt comforting yet exciting at the same time—one of those rare places where you can taste authenticity and quality together. The ambience is warm and welcoming, and the overall vibe makes you want to sit back, relax, and enjoy every moment of the meal. On top of that, the service was friendly and smooth, which just elevated the whole experience even more. If you’re in Bangkok and even slightly confused about where to eat, stop scrolling and come here. Cholos is truly a hidden gem and a place I’d happily return to again and again. Highly, highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you want it more casual, more foodie-style, or shorter, tell me and I’ll tweak it.

Cholos Mexican Restaurant is small and cozy, which gives it a really comfortable and welcoming feel. It’s the kind of place where you can just relax and enjoy a casual meal. While the food isn’t extraordinary, the flavors are solid and satisfying. The salsas are especially good and add a nice kick to the dishes. If you’re craving Mexican food and want something simple and comforting, this place definitely hits the spot. It may not be gourmet, but it’s a good option when you want that familiar taste of Mexican food in a cozy setting.

Solid 3.5/5 rounded up to 4 They definitely have a nice selection of options. Got the Baja tacos, burrito bowl, and cheese wrapped burrito. Baja fish tacos were the best tasting. Highly recommend. Great flavor and nice size. I would have preferred 3 tacos to the 2 that were generously stuffed with fish tho. The burrito bowl I feel was standard. Could have been a little more flavorful but still a good choice. The cheese wrapped burrito was very filling! Although I wish the cheese was more of a toasted, baked into the tortilla vs melted over. Was a bit messy to eat but still good. I ended things off with a flan. The flan was good. Better than your typical custards you find elsewhere. The sauce/ browned side of the flan was burnt tho so it did have a bitter taste to it.

Just very disappointing at a premium price. Seemingly good ingredients put together to somehow be bland and disappointing. Fish tacos huge batter was too big for the taco, the salsa wasn’t salsa just chopped salad with no dressing, no lime, I had to ask for sour cream. I wanted soft tacos and was assured they were but the pork tacos were fried so much they were crispy. Quite oily too and not put together with any flare or care, where’s the cheese, extra salsa or Guacamole? The red sauce, not sure what that was. The test. Would I come back. No. I can make better at home.
