About

Dim sum zai in Chinatown is a tiny, family-owned shop run by chef Ben and his wife, who cook all food themselves. The restaurant is difficult to locate in a small alley but represents a genuine gem for those seeking exceptional dimsum. Minimal table seating means most customers order takeaway, but the quality of food exceeds typical dimsum expectations.

The deep-fried steamed buns dipped in sweet condensed milk are phenomenal. The dimsum reflects exceptional technique and ingredient quality—considered the best in Bangkok and Thailand. The home kitchen setting and small scale add authenticity. The combination of hidden location, tiny space, home preparation, and unparalleled flavor makes Dim sum zai a treasured local discovery.

Dim Sum Zai operates from a family home on a small alley—a setup that signals you're eating where a chef actually cooks rather than simply supervises. Ben and his wife run everything; locals who've tried dim sum across Thailand rank this among the best despite its size. The deep-fried steamed buns dipped in sweet condensed milk achieve a textural contrast that clearly delights repeat visitors.

The best of the best Dimsum (not only in Bangkok , but in Thailand). Hidden dragon in the small alley where difficult to find the restaurant location. Tiny table in case you dine in. But the taste of DimsumZai is more delicious than any 5stars hotel that I had in my life!! This is not exaggerating, let’s taste!! PS. Actual atmosphere is very tiny table , but it is compensated by heavenly taste of food. These dimsum are like in HongKong.

Excellent taste and reasonable price Dim sum restaurant. Fresh ingredients and well cooked. They do take away only and you can order from delivery application. Try and you will like it. Enjoy !

Day 1: Everything on the menu is absolutely fantastic, the taste and texture are unparalleled. The deep-fried steamed buns are phenomenal when dipped in sweet condensed milk. Extremely friendly service. The place is run by a young couple and can be a bit hard to find, so keep an eye out for the small signs. Thankfully, it’s possible to order through Grab. Also, be aware of the greatly reduced opening hours. Day 2 Couldn’t resist the temptation and came back again today. Got the dumplings that were sold out yesterday, had more of what I had yesterday, plus extra crispy dough and steamed buns with char siu and custard. If ive got time tomorrow before my flight, I will go for another round.
