Era-izaan Branch 2 (Thonglor)

I had this place on my must visit list and it did not disappoint! There was live music, which made it a really nice place to sit and relax. The concept is a mix of Isaan food and Japanese cuisine, a great idea. They also have karaoke rooms and a TV showing football, so it’s a perfect spot to hang out with friends.

This was one of my first stops in Bangkok, largely because a lot of my friends were already there, and it turned out to be a great introduction to the city’s food scene. The menu is extremely extensive, which is ideal for groups with different tastes. I am not a big meat eater and can be quite selective about what I order, so I did not go too wild, but what I did choose was excellent. I ordered the chicken kebabs, which were juicy, succulent, and genuinely delicious. They came with a selection of sauces that really elevated the dish and made it feel thoughtfully put together. I also had the shrimp fried rice, which was not only full of flavour but also a massive portion. It came with extra sauces and spice on the side, which I really appreciated as it allowed me to adjust the heat to my liking. My friends mostly stuck to beer, and I have to say the service stood out. Our server was incredibly attentive, constantly refilling their beers, making sure they were cold and topped with ice, and clearly focused on making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. It felt relaxed but genuinely caring rather than rushed or transactional. As for cocktails, I ordered one whose name I cannot remember, but it was a vodka based blue punch that arrived in what looked like a decorative vase or possibly a coconut shell. It was enormous. Easily enough for two people. I sipped it slowly throughout the night. Later, I had another cocktail served in a martini glass that was floral, foamy, and absolutely delicious. It honestly felt like dessert in a glass. The place was very busy and felt like there might have been some kind of event on. The music was great, the atmosphere was lively, and there was absolutely no pressure to rush. Nobody was trying to turn tables or hurry people along. Everyone was just eating, drinking, chatting, and vibing. We stayed for several hours and never once felt unwelcome. It is very easy to get to by taxi, it is open quite late, and overall it was just a really enjoyable experience. Good food is good food, and this place delivered. This Isaan fusion restaurant truly exceeded all expectations. Every corner of the space feels carefully curated, stylish, and full of character. You can tell that so much thought and creativity went into both the concept and the presentation. The food is absolutely delicious, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. The staff are extremely polite and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. My French husband loved this place, and that says a lot coming from a foreigner who usually isn’t a big fan of Thai food. Highly recommended! 🙌✨
