Great training: It was hard, lots of people my age and weight (79 kg ish). Most importantly the trainers make it fun by 'bullying' fighters and attendees in a fun and loving way. They seemed to care about you because the trainer corrected my technique and tried to make it fun. Also for himself. So that is alot of fun and makes you feel welcome. It was really challenging, but I loved it. I hope they keep this style of training.

Very nice and friendly. Dropped in today late evening (01.01.26), asked for a PT session and the few people (of a family?) "hanging" around at the gym fetched me a very good coach (Ali). Soon after lots of people had dinner on the street, looked very family and cozy while we worked out. Corrected so many fundamentals/details. (Much) more than in a quite big gym I had been weeks to right before on PPhuket. Great details, very warm people. Had only time for one session, if I can manage to come back to Thailand, I'll come here again!

If you want to learn the style of Muay Kao, and more specifically, how to clinch, THIS IS THE GYM! This is my second time in Thailand and throughout my trips in Koh Samui, Koh Pangan, Koh Tao and Phuket I have trained at quite a few gyms (fighters/intermediate sessions). The gyms were great, but my issue with them was the lack of clinching (some weren't even allowing knees to the body in light sparring) That was until I started training at FA Group. The fighters have 2 sessions a day (2.5 hours each) and the afternoon session is dedicated to the clinch (includes 40 minutes of clinching!!) They have a lot of trainers and fighters on the mat to give you feedback and hold pads for you, and the conditioning at the end of the session will make you into a killer!! So in short, this is the BEST gym that I trained at in Thailand!

'Fit and fun' training, sunday 1st march, 4PM. A young guy came late, no hello, no excuse, not a word. He 'called me' only with his hands, like a doggo, for hand strapping. In an other context, I'd leave instantly but I needed that sweat, this day. An other young person came afterwards ; the two young 'trainers' continued to be nonchalant or moking in thai, all the way of the 'training'. The supervision of an experienced fighter or owner would have been necessary, in my opinion, to change the attitude of the 'fit and fun' guys. Installation / material were old and the unique shower, filthy. I bought water from a 'fridge' that came to room temperature, hence hot. I honestly can't recommend this structure for beginners or people looking for a positive and enjoyable moment

The training is neither good nor bad, you will get your 3 rounds on the pads (there was a time when 5 was the norm). Clinching and lots of drills. Good for conditioning and very structured training, but very little in the way of feedback. Its good to see that FA group is still open after all these years, when lots of the other old school gyms have closed down, but dont be confused, its not the FA group of old. All foreigners with no thai's training is never a good sign of a gym on the up.
