Bring cash, as one reviewer advises. The restaurant opens at 07:20 and closes at 20:30 on weekdays but at 16:00 on Saturday and Sunday. Go earlier at the weekend, since a satay stall had already closed by dinner for one visitor.

If you are a fan of beef soup, this place is a must visit! The meat and tendon are so tender. Don't forget to get extra morning glory to dip in the soup. Make sure to bring cash. Sadly we come for dinner and the satay stall is already close 🥲

王春盛 (Heng Chun Seng) is a legendary 70+ year-old restaurant in Khlong Toei. In my opinion, it serves the best Thai-Chinese beef hotpot in the city. What truly sets it apart is the incredible soup base — a rich herbal beef bone broth that has been simmering non-stop for decades. This creates an amazingly deep, layered flavor that’s savory, slightly sweet, herbal, and surprisingly not greasy at all. Paired with fresh beef slices, meatballs, tendon, tripe, and other offal, the broth gets even richer as you eat. Every sip is comforting and addictive! Generous portions, very reasonable prices and authentic old-school vibes. A must-eat Bangkok classic.
