Hinata Izakaya

Even on a Monday night, the place was lively with many customers. It seemed clearly a popular restaurant. The atmosphere is that of a casual Japanese izakaya, and for those who enjoy that kind of vibe, it’s definitely a five-star experience. Based on the dishes I tried, the food was generally very good. The tartar sauce on the chicken nanban had an interesting touch of aonori flavor, which was impressive. Above all, the prices are very reasonable, and considering the cost, the quality is excellent. Surprisingly, they also offer set meals even at night, with a good variety around 300 baht. It’s perfect for a quick solo dinner. The Japanese master’s spirit of hospitality is truly outstanding. He showed great attention to every customer, and the Thai staff also seemed well trained and attentive. Although the area tends to have heavy traffic, making it a bit inconvenient to visit often, I’d like to come back again.

Got this fried chicken set (5 big pieces of chicken + rice + kimchi + miso soup) for 165 THB! The chickens are crispy on the outside (even after i left them in the box for 30 minutes) and juicy on the inside, with the right amount of saltiness. The rice container looks small but it’s packed! Even their miso soup tasted richer than most restaurant’s! And the portion is generous! This is going to be my new go-to japanese restaurant!

The food was great, the sauce in the curry ramen was very tasty and the pork belly was super soft and had a lovely glaze. The grilled meats where cooked very well and the prawns where super fresh with excellent crispy batter. I would eat here again no problem.
