IZAKAYA ANIKI Japanese Restaurant
IZAKAYA ANIKI Japanese Restaurant
About
Low-key Japanese izakaya in Thonglor that feels like a genuine find rather than a concept — easy to miss from the street and focused on food and drink over crowd. The menu hits its marks, and solo drinkers are as welcome as groups.

I didn't know we can stop by here alone with ease coz some young girls can sit and drink together with us! Just drinking. Of course we can't expect beyond that though.

Everything we ordered tasted amazing and we’d definitely go back… not the easiest place to find though and I wonder if that’s intentional as it seems like one of those Japanese joints focusing on male customers, if you know what I mean…

It’s an authentic Japanese Izakaya restaurant. The menu was extensive and everything was good. The fish flakes tofu as a small appetizer (An otoshi. In general its fee is added to the bill as a seating charge) was also delicious with sesame oil on it. We didn't drink alcohol at all and only had one soft drink each, but then about JPY 4,500 per person was a little expensive due to the weak yen currently, but I guess it can't be helped since it's in Thailand. Wifi was not working around our table. The router was too far I think.
