Authentic homey Southern Thai cuisine located in a local neighbourhood. Be prepared for a serious kick, as the dishes are spicy and filled with local spices. We ordered the yellow southern curry with fish and stir fried bai mieng vegetable with egg. The latter was average though. There is a dedicated parking space available

Amazing meal! Worth the ride if you’re far away. The blue crab stewed in coconut milk was just what I needed! Very fresh tasting ingredients. The service was excellent as well. The lady is very kind!

Although I can’t handle the intense heat of Southern Thai cuisine, I absolutely love the spices and the refreshing feeling I get while enjoying- and even after finishing - the dishes. Janhom is one of my favorite Southern Thai restaurants for this very reason. I ordered some classic Southern dishes, including Bai-Liang Pad Kai (stir-fried bai-liang leaves with eggs), Pla Tod Kamin (deep-fried fish with turmeric and herbs), Kaeng-Kua Hed-Krang (roasted curry with Krang mushrooms), and Yam Pak-Good (fern salad). While these may be traditional Southern staples, at Janhom, the aroma, taste, and flavors are anything but ordinary. The egg was perfectly blended with Bai-Liang leaves, making it fluffy and light - no greasy omelette here! Pla Tod Kamin was incredibly aromatic, with juicy flesh on the inside and a crunch on the outside. I finished the whole fish in no time. My top recommendation is Kaeng-Kua Hed-Krang. The mushrooms were crispy - I know it sounds like an unusual way to describe mushrooms, but they truly were crisp! The curry itself was nuanced and well-balanced. Yam Pak-Good was surprisingly refreshing and rounded out the meal, soothing my heated tongue perfectly. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was homey. Janhom would be an excellent choice for enjoying Southern Thai cuisine with your family and friends. It's certainly mine.
