Fantastic Sunday roast, ordered the platter for two which has roast lamb, beef, pork and chicken together with two Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, various vegetables. I ordered a dessert even though I was full and the cheesecake was delightful. All in all, a very pleasurable experience and well worth a visit.

This is an outstanding restaurant in every way. We are staying nearby and feel so lucky to have found it. The whole experience, from the food to the service is impeccable. We’ve come three times now, twice for the fish and chips and once for the Sunday roast. Each time the food was delicious and the service was fantastic. You can tell there’s a high level of professionalism given to every detail. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a meal here. You won’t be disappointed!

We have made Kai New Zealand a regular monthly visit for absolutely delicious dishes. We meet our friends here at our fave table. Some dishes we recommend are bangers & mash, any burger, pizza, meat, & seafood. Massive variety menu for all groups so if you’re a tourist you can find Tasmanian Scallop Pie, Australian mussels, Oysters from France, Ireland, etc. We have tried all the desserts and wow! They are moving locations in a month November 2025 so just a heads up.

Overall is OK...just OK...the service was quite slow. We booked the table for 2 at 12.30 on Sunday, took a while for someone to take our order. waited nearly 40 mins for our roast platter for 2, which should be quite a common order. Best bit of the platter was the pork scratching, Apple sauce and roasted veg minus the potatos. Potatos was half mushy half burnt. Chicken was quite dry, lamb and beef was a bit under and chewy. Horseradish cream was mild and mint sauce had weirdly high viscosity. Taste ok though.
