Kozue Omakase Samyan

Had an eye-opening first omakase experience at Kozue @ Samyan. We opted for the 14-course omakase, and I could really see how dedicated the chef was in preparing each dish with care and precision. The seafood was pretty fresh, and I especially loved the little touch of gold flakes sprinkled onto some of the dishes; even with the sushi placed on our hand! The set was reasonably priced, and the ingredients in each course complemented one another well. It was surprisingly filling by the time we reached the final dish. Definitely worth the experience!

All Kozue Omakase branches are up to high standards. However, the chef was rather quiet and didn't explain the dishes with any energy. The service was quite slow, regarding refilling the ginger. The 17 course menu was good but won't fill you.

Great quality of food, ambience, and service all in one place. There are two menu options to choose from: the 14 course and 17 course. We opted for the 14 course and we enjoyed each of the serving. All dishes were fresh and of good quality for the price being paid for. The atmosphere was great too and I enjoyed watching the chef prepare each dish. It wasn’t loud so it’s easy to hear each other. The place is small so it’s recommended to get a reservation to secure a slot. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had to request for a different cut with one of the dish due to a seafood allergy, and the chef was quick to take note of it. All in all, this was definitely a good omakase experience and we will surely be back again to try out the other course!
