Krua Aroi

This is our first proper check-in meal since arriving in Bangkok. The place is easy to find, with accurate navigation 🧭—just get off at the BTS green line, Chitlom station, and it’s a short walk (close to Big C). The atmosphere is nothing special, with limited indoor seating. Luckily, the weather hasn’t been too hot lately, so sitting outside is fine. Business seems to be booming—almost all seats are taken, though most customers are tourists rather than locals. We ordered a minced pork with basil rice, a tom yum noodle soup, grilled pork neck, seafood green curry, stir-fried water spinach, and two drinks. The flavors were generally okay—standard Thai level—but not as amazing as some reviews made it out to be.

Authentic Thai food. So far the best I have tasted! Food is very good esp the Tom Yum soup and deep fried fish with sweet chilli sauce. Quiet corner at street side. Service is good and staff friendly, especially elderly uncle. We had our fill for a family of 5.

Great Thai food. The claypot vermicelli prawns with Chinese sauce is amazing. Vermicelli is hot and makes the stomach very satisfied. It’s not oily yet it’s flavourful and tasty. Mushroom green curry is quite creamy and goes very well with the vermicelli. Serving speed very slow
