The spicy noodles with minced pork (a little bit sweet) and the dish of various meatballs with spicy seafood sauce taste good. The decor is fine and authentic for a Thai-Chinese noodle shop.

After waiting far too long at Joe O Chula, I decided to take a walk around and stumbled upon Lek Yai instead. Glad I did! I ordered the Original Noodles with Minced Pork and Pork Patty, priced at THB 79 (about USD 2.20). The noodles were fantastic, with a great balance of flavors and a nice spicy kick. The broth was rich and satisfying, although slightly on the sweet side for my taste. The minced pork and pork patty were both delicious and complemented the noodles very well. For the price, it’s excellent value and a very satisfying meal. Verdict: Great flavors, generous portions, and affordable prices. Despite the slight sweetness, it’s a place I would happily return to on my next visit to Bangkok.

Lek Yai Tom Yum Noodles on Banthat Thong is an air‑conditioned street‑food spot that keeps things comfortable while serving bold, familiar Thai flavors. Their signature dishes — tom yum noodles with pork sheets, crispy tom yum wontons, and plump fried wontons — are the highlights. The tom yum broth leans slightly sweet, but still delivers a nice balance of spicy and tangy. The fried wontons are especially good: crispy outside, soft inside, and perfect with the tom yum seasoning.
