  Had lunch at Lobster City on Banthat Thong Road, Bangkok. The place is super popular and very busy even at lunch time. Service was really good - fast, friendly and attentive despite the crowd. Portions were great and generous, you definitely don't leave hungry. Seafood was fresh and tasty, well cooked. However, the lobster was overpriced for what you get compared to other seafood spots on Banthat Thong. The other dishes offer better value. Overall a good classic Bangkok seafood experience, nice vibe on the food street, but expect premium prices for lobster.

  ​"This was easily the best shrimp curry I've ever had! As you can see in picture the prawns were absolutely massive, perfectly cooked, and so fresh. The rich, creamy curry sauce was incredibly flavorful, and the addition of the crispy dried small fish with sesame seeds provided the perfect contrasting crunch. It’s a 10/10 dish that I will be dreaming about!"

  Great interior and comfortable AC at Lobster City Banthat Thong. We ordered two shrimp dishes (spicy stir-fry and one with creamy sauce/rice). The taste was just okay and the shrimp weren't special. It was an overall decent experience, good for give a try once.

  We got disappointed especially about two dishes. The shrimps on rice is really like the shrimps been from the Flintstone as it's so hard and really Rocky. And same from the baby squid, the squid is another thing which could be from the Ice Age, as it's so hard, think the cook could not save the squid until it's been swimming in hot oil for few rounds until it's like ROCKs too. The lobster is the only dish that I think it's fresh, though not really fantastic, at least it's fresh n cooked with normal standard. Those who don't mind about the standard of food, may go, otherwise, pls don't waste time there unless you were Fred or Barney.

  A friend recommended this place... first thing first, for a restaurant called "Lobster City," there's no lobster available to order at all. The ingredients were average at best—not the freshest, but acceptable for the price. I guess the quantity pays off. What really let the meal down was the rice. It is the cheapest rice available, which is surprising because good rice can make a huge difference to the overall dining experience. A little more attention to quality would go a long way.
