Mango Tree

A very, very nice place for dinner is Silom. They seem to have ample experience making customers feel welcome. I ordered the medium seafood platter. I had assumed roasted or steamed fish, but I received I think a seabass that had been deep fried, along with three river prawns and some squid rings. All were very nicely presented with an excellent sauce. Impeccable service from Moko. Not a cheap meal but well worth the price to enjoy a dinner under the trees in a peaceful atmosphere.

One of the most wonderful places I have ever tried in Bangkok. The food is absolutely perfect, and the warm, cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend the dried pork, it is so delicious that we had to come back again just for this dish. The service is nice and friendly, especially a guy named Phone, who took such good care of us throughout the meal. Mango Tree is definitely a place you should not miss if you travel to Bangkok!!!

I thought this would be an out of the way place in Siloam but it was very busy and obviously very popular. Excellent choices of both Northern and Southern Thai cuisine as well as a few favourites. I had the Nam Prik Ong set, with a wonderful Thai minced pork tomato paste, followed by shrimp cakes, fried chicken wings and a superb prawn pad Thai. All washed down with Whale Pale Ale. Just awesome
