Nice McDonald’s with an open-concept design. Plenty of seats and tables, making it easy to find a place to sit. The restaurant is cool, clean, and surprisingly not overly busy. It’s a calm and relaxing spot—great for taking a break and getting out of the heat outside. Overall, a comfortable place to dine in at The Nine Rama IX.

My wife and I woke up absolutely miserable on day 157 of our travels through Southeast Asia. We had to come to the Nine Center Rama early to catch a bus to Koh Kood, and begrudgingly elected to eat at this McDonalds before our bus took off. Tired, hungry, and upset at both ourselves and the universe, we stepped foot into an experience that changed the course of not just our day, but perhaps our entire trip. See, we were expecting to be greeted with the same amount of misery that we walked in with. But lo and behold, behind the counter taking our breakfast order was an absolute ray of sunshine whose smile and joy was so infectious we couldn’t help but feel it ourselves. The food, of course, was as consistent as always, but the warm energy of our cashier was a memory that will be etched into our minds for the rest of time. I don’t know her name. I wish I asked. But whoever that bundle of joy is that was working on the morning of January 19th, 2026 - thank you. Your smile was just what we needed, right when we needed it.
