After eating this chicken kebab with rice, we had an extremely bad upset stomach for about 8 hours. I’m sure it was caused by the food, because we went there right after breakfast and didn’t eat or drink anything else afterwards. Both my partner and I felt the same, like something was wrong with the chicken. It didn’t smell bad, but it tasted a little strange. I don’t want to damage the reputation of the franchise, but we are 100% sure it was because of the food. The staff were very kind, friendly, and polite, and the location of the restaurant is excellent. So if they improve the quality control and ensure the meat is fresh, this problem can be solved. The chicken kebab with rice plate cost 280 baht, and the portion size was small compared to other Mediterranean or Arabic restaurants. Even though they advertise themselves as a Mediterranean restaurant, the style is much closer to Indian cuisine. It came with basmati rice, a very small amount of lettuce, and two dipping sauces, which are typically Indian. There was no bread or naan served with the meal, which is usually necessary for this type of dish. The rice was tasteless, even with the yellow Indian sauce on top. The salad was extremely basic and plain. This meal is definitely not worth 280 baht (around $8–$9), and if you eat a lot, this portion will not be enough for you. The flavor of the chicken itself was unique, but we ended up with a bad stomach for a long time and had to take medicine before sleeping. One positive thing is that they do not charge the additional 10% service fee or 7% VAT on top of the menu price, which is good. The drinks menu was quite expensive, but I understand the higher prices because the location is strategic and the decor is new. The restaurant is very clean and looks great, and the staff are genuinely friendly. However, the food quality and freshness need to be checked carefully, and the meal presentation should be improved by including bread or naan. They could have a good business in the future if they fix these issues. For now, I recommend avoiding this place for at least 2–4 weeks from the beginning of November, until the owner or chef strictly improves ingredient quality, because we are 100% sure the problem came from the chicken.
