Mott 32 Bangkok

I had dinner at Mott 32 last night with friends...definitely a solid five-star experience. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share, and they were all really good. The flavors felt authentic, and everything was well-prepared and nicely presented. The place has a cool, sophisticated vibe, upscale but still comfortable enough that you can relax. The service was on point. They knew the menu, gave us some good recommendations, and checked in without hovering.

Mott 32 is located in The Standard hotel. The atmosphere is romantic and classy. Lovely setting for a date night or group dinner. We visited right before the Chinese New Year and it was decorated beautifully. Delicious cocktails, large selection. We enjoyed the Soft Quail Egg, Pork, Black Truffle Siu Ma Scallop Dumplings, Spinach, Prawn, Caviar Shredded Peking Duck Spring Roll, Yellow Garlic Chives Wagyu Beef Spring Roll, Avocado Hot & Sour Shanghainese Soup Dumplings, Scallop, Prawn Spinach, Shrimp, scallop, caviar Every dish melted in your mouth or had the perfect crunch. Every dish was flavorful and very enjoyable.

As always, Mott 32 remains one of my top choices for a refined dining experience, private, elegant, and enjoyable. This time, however, I was slightly disappointed with the roasted duck. The slices were cut a bit too thick 😔, and unlike previous visits, the waiter didn’t assist with making a duck roll. Demonstrating the proper way to enjoy roasted duck is a thoughtful and beautiful gesture of service, and I missed that element this time. That said, I still appreciate the service overall. The staff are consistently professional, which is one of the highlights of dining here. Even when there is room for improvement, the level of care and professionalism is evident. Perhaps next time I’ll explore more dishes and try something new from the menu. Still one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in Bangkok!
