Nagiya Donki Mall Thonglo / Japanese Izakaya

Initially we wanted to go to the Izakaya at the Ekamai 12 corner, but since we anyway had to park at the Donki Mall, we stumbled across this Izakaya place, checked the menu and decided to give it a try. We ended up ordering quite a lot and we really liked the beef (steak), curry tendon, especially the sushi was really tasty and the tofu. The tempura was a bit oily (maybe a temperature issue) and the skewers a bit bland, but that is only nitpicking. Overall, it was a nice experience and the service was fast and flawless.

Perfect for those who prefer a quiet izakaya vibe. When I went on a Thursday evening (public holiday), it wasn’t crowded at all. Just note that their beer promo runs on weekdays only (Mon–Fri) and not on public holidays.

Located on the 4th floor of the Donki Mall. The restaurant is bright and modern. The tables all have hot pot stations in the middle and there is a sushi bar. We enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered. The deep fried corn and the Japanese pickles really stood out.
