The crab omelette here is wonderful. Lots of supple and tasty chunks of crab meat in a well cooked egg omelette and goes splendidly with the Nam Jim Seafood sauce which is a classic, vibrant Thai green chili dipping sauce, which the servers were happy to keep dishing out. The garlic shrimp was good too and so was the tom yum soup but the star was of course the lovely crab 🦀

IMO this is definitely one of the local Thai restaurants that you should try to fit into your schedule on any visit to Bangkok. The crab dishes such as the crab omelette over Asian noodles and the crab curry are extraordinary. Your mouth is rewarded with a wonderful melange of freshness, flavors, spices and textures in every bite. The service is prompt and friendly and the staff smiles in appreciation of the oohs and ahhs of enjoyment that frequently emanate from their dining patrons. The prices are higher than you will find in the local food courts but they are extremely reasonable for the high caliber of food that you receive here. The restaurant is located at the far edge of Ekkamai, very near to the Charn Issara pier. We took a morning shopping excursion via canal boat from Charn Issara to some of the local Thai markets such as Bo Bae. Then we returned early afternoon to Charn Issara and popped over to the restaurant for a wonderful late lunch to cap a very enjoyable day of being out and about in Bangkok.

Read a lot of reviews saying to avoid peak hours, like lunch time. Hence, decided to come in the morning and eat as breakfast! Absolutely a good idea! We ordered the crab omelette rice and noodles. We chose the non spicy ones, wah. Super good & generous portion! We ordered stir fried cabbage too, looks unassuming, but yummy too. The dishes… probably quite heavy on the MSG 😅

My cousin recommended this to me as her number 1 place for Crab Omelette when she visited Bangkok so I made sure to bring my friends here! And after seeing this one was part of the Michelin Guide from 2022-2024, I pretty much already had high expectations. And to my surprise, I didn't expect the Crab Omelette to be that expensive 😭 I knew it was a popular Thai dish, especially that influencers and tourists kept recommending this place as well on social media. But honestly, it was just pretty mid for me 🙁 and I LOVE CRAB! AND I LOVE EGG! SO I WAS SUPPOSED TO LOVE IT! But yeah, it was meh. I found it to be really underwhelming, especially for the price. Yes, the serving was big, but I don't know. I still find it too pricey for its taste and size. But I found their Fried Garlic Pork to be much worth it though, and that was one of the best dishes we had during that meal. We also had the Fried Mantis Shrimp and it was really good too! Still pricey, but good. Overall, it was an okay meal but I think I can try looking for more Crab Omelette places and check for myself their distinct difference with each other. Might change my opinion when I come back for the 2nd time, who knows? 🤷🏻♀️
