Omakase Don by Teppen

I’ve been a regular customer here for a long time because the food is always delicious and has never disappointed. I placed my order with two male staff members who provided excellent service. However, today there was a female staff member who, for reasons unknown, seemed to be in a bad mood and irritated. She was handling bowls and utensils roughly, banging them loudly, clearly signaling her dissatisfaction to customers. I honestly have no idea what she was unhappy about, or what we might have done to upset her, because we didn’t even interact with her at all. It made us feel as though we were coming in to eat for free, which completely ruined the meal and made the experience unpleasant and unhappy. We finished eating in less than 15 minutes and left the restaurant quickly because we didn’t want to absorb this negative, toxic atmosphere from her. I’m extremely disappointed and would like to ask the restaurant owner: what exactly was the female staff member unhappy with regarding customers that justified displaying such behavior while preparing food right in front of customers who were sitting face-to-face like this? We are truly confused as to how an incident like this could have happened.

Located at Iconsiam Mall, we tried this place because there was a lot of good reviews, so we were expecting a lot from it. They only have few seats in their bar and you will have to settle on getting seats at the dinning area ( like a fastfood area) which is not right in front of their place. As I check the menu near the bar, I observed the untidy kitchen, the dirty kitchen floor, the dirty sneakers in the kitchen. for me it's a concern. But since there are good reviews about this place, we really like to try their food, there were 3 of us and all of us ordered the Wagyu Steak don, mine with egg, other 2 without egg. We were told to get our order after 4 minutes, but actually it took more than 10 minutes but that is alright, the problem was when my friend claim our order with the receipt she have, she was told that the 1st one was already claimed, of course she told them that it was not. So the lady staff followed my friend to our reserved table to check our table if the bowl of Wagyu was there and of course the staff found nothing, that was the 2nd disappointment, so we still waited again for another 10 minutes for the other bowl of Wagyu. A note to the management of this place, please make up an effective way of checking the orders you release over your counter, so as not to cause discomfort to your customers. We were suprised by how small the serving was and how thin the slices was considering the price. The meat was not tender considering it's a wagyu beef, the flavor was lacking. With all the things that we experienced, the food that we tried and the kitchen that I saw. I have no plans of going back.
