First meal in Bangkok. Not yet checked in so have a meal at the hotel. Surprisingly food was good. Ordered my favourite dish, Crispy rice cracker with minced pork dip. Yummy yummy. Rice cracker really crispy and the minced pork dip was delicious. 😋😋😋😋🌟🌟🌟🌟 Another dish I ordered was Steak A Cheval by Arno’s .Dry aged ground beef topped with sunny side-up and caramelised onions. This was a surprise for me. Nice flavour of beef. Texture Just nice. It’s was a perfect meal for me. 🤭🤭🤭

What on earth happened to this place? I ate here regularly for over 10 years pre-covid. Great breakfast buffet. Awesome Thai food. Then I went once during Covid, and it was underwhelming, but I gave them a pass due to the situation. But life has been back to normal for a couple years now. Popped in yesterday for a Panang. It was the WORST Panang I've ever had. Chunks of chicken, some with skin on it, none of it fried enough, and one huge chunk of bone, in Panang! And the Panang sauce was awful. Watery and oily. Roti was fried so long it was like a burnt cracker. I ate about half and left the rest. Server didn't bother asking what was wrong. He could barely speak English, which is strange considering it's located in a hotel with international tourists. And he was wearing a face mask (two years after covid ended) so it was even harder to understand him. I'm sad about this place. It's hard to let go. But this was the final straw. RiP Ormthong. I'll hold the good memories from the past.
