About

Tucked down a narrow alley off Sukhumvit, Ranee's rewards those who find it with a quiet atmosphere and thoughtful cooking. The panna cotta with sambuca is a standout finish. The owner engages guests directly, and the menu reflects real care in the kitchen.

It's a little hard to find this place, you need to walk into a narrow alley and watch for the sign. But once you are there it's worth the trouble. It's a quiet little oasis in the middle of a very hectic part of the city. Food is excellent, pasta is fresh and homemade and lots of fresh seafood choices. The owner came to our table and chatted for awhile. It's nice to have that personal touch. I ate Renee's fusion special, squid and prawns with pasta. Italian with just a hint of Asian flavour.

A high-quality restaurant. All the dishes were delicious, I highly recommend the panna cotta with sambuca for dessert. The owner came out to chat with us after dinner and clearly knew his menu well. Prices were above your average thai restaurant but very fair for the quality, well worth it.

Hands down, one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. Even though I’ve only visited twice, I’m already planning my next trip back! • The Appetizer: I always start with the Burrata Salad. The ingredients are top-notch—fresh, juicy tomatoes paired with creamy cheese and a perfect balsamic glaze. It’s a refreshing masterpiece. • The Pasta Hits: The Ravioli with Tomato Sauce is a dream; biting into that creamy filling is pure bliss. I also tried Squid Ink Spaghetti for the first time here, and the fresh seafood pairing totally won me over. Another surprise was the Green Fettuccine with Dried Chili and Bacon—absolutely "wow" flavor! • The Mains: The Pork Chop was delicious and tender, though they were a bit heavy-handed with the gravy for my liking. • The Star of the Show: The Tartufo Pizza. You can smell the truffle aroma from a mile away! The homemade dough is light and airy—honestly, it’s "soul food" at its finest. Note: On my first visit, their pizza oven was being repaired (I was heartbroken!), but coming back to finally taste that pizza was worth the wait. Don’t miss this place!

I recently visited Ranees, and unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to the anticipation. The biggest issue was the wait time; we waited over an hour for our food to arrive, which felt excessive for a standard pizza and salad order. But they were extremely busy, so ok. When the meal finally reached the table, it was strictly "just okay." The pizza was serviceable but unremarkable. The crust seemed floppy and lacked that signature crunch or char I was hoping for in the undercarriage, and the toppings were spread a bit thin. Similarly, the salad was fresh enough, but it was basic, essentially a bowl of standard greens with a decent dressing that lacked any real punch. If you are in a rush or looking for a standout meal, you might want to look elsewhere. It wasn't a "bad" meal, but given the hour-long wait, the payoff simply wasn't there.
