About
A German restaurant in Sukhumvit that draws regulars for its sausages, schnitzel, and ox tongue stew. The cozy atmosphere and consistent service make it a dependable Sunday spot for families after activities nearby. Run with care over many years.
Ratsstube anchors regulars through longevity and consistency: families return every Sunday specifically for this reason, same table, same order (Hunter's Schnitzel with Spätzle), same warmth from staff who remember. The kitchen executes German cooking authentically—not adapted for Thai palates, just actual German food made properly. The Schnitzel tastes like it does in Germany (which matters more than you'd think for homesick expats). The Pork Knuckle arrives genuinely crispy on the outside, tender within. The sauerkraut side carries real flavor rather than token garnish. Portions run large, prices stay reasonable, parking occupies the entire lot.

Came here for the early family dinner and I was really impressed with the food - been trying to find a good sausage and this place does not disappoint! I also highly recommend Ox tongue stew 👅, schnitzel, Mixed sausage, and lasagna The portions were huge and the prices are very reasonable. Plenty of parkings. Will definitely return. They got busy at usual meal time. But super nice and quiet in the adjacent time - we came at 4 pm and got the place to ourselves and I really appreciate the vibrant decorations 💕

We have been coming here for many years. It’s a lovely German restaurant with a cosy atmosphere and excellent service. My son and I come almost every Sunday to enjoy German food after his swim lesson. His favourite is the Hunter’s Schnitzel with either egg noodles or Spätzle. The dishes taste just like they do in Germany, the portions are generous, and the staff always make us feel very welcome. It’s the perfect place to enjoy traditional German cuisine. Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic German food. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

We had the pleasure of stumbling into this charming German eatery after catching a piano concert at the Goethe-Institute. I had a delicious apple cake w vanilla sauce and chamomile tea and my partner had a weissbier. Friendly staff. Can't wait to go back to try other fares! 😋
