Sababa Mediterranean Izakaya

Absolutely exceptional restaurant. A really unique fusion of Mediterranean and Japanese flavours, and everything we tried was outstanding. The tuna carpaccio and beef tartare were superb, the bone marrow dish was incredible, and the sweet sambal-style sauces they pair with things are fantastic. The flavours are bold but very balanced. The place itself is beautifully set up with both indoor and outdoor seating, relaxed atmosphere, and the owner and staff are extremely friendly. It’s not cheap — we spent around £100 for dinner — but it was worth every penny. The quality of the food is easily at the level of very high-end restaurants. They also had free-flow sake and beer, which made the whole evening even better. If you’re in Bangkok and enjoy creative food, this place is a must visit.

Overall, pretty decent dining experience 😃 👍We enjoyed the Beef ragu the most, as well as the Chocolate mousse for our dessert. As for Udon pasta, the texture of the noodles were chewy (pretty nice). 🤔Meanwhile, the "prawn wonton wrapped with chicken skin" skewker and "beef Hamburg" were too salty for our taste (agreed by all four of us who tasted it), and Sangria a bit too sweet. 🚗 Parking: - 4 free slots available at restaurant space - if full, recommended by the restaurant to park at EZ Parking nearby.

Thank you Erick for serving us. This the best meal I had in Bangkok for around 10 days. I would recommend this place for people who want to try special dishes but not Thai food. Having comfortable atmosphere with welcoming staff. A bit expensive in Bangkok but definitely worth the price. Every dishes we ordered was excellent and the size is not very large. You can try a lot of different dishes for sharing. I will come again soon I am very sure🩷
